Class 1 went for a walk around St Andrew’s Park wood for their community visit this week as part of the ‘Our World’ topic. The ground was rather wet and muddy and we were caught in the rain but everyone was dressed for this type of weather and we all enjoyed the experience.
Students from FE have been exploring the Immersive Environment in the Discovery Room on College Campus.
Class 8 have had fun rediscovering our sensory garden and investigating the new soundposts along the nature trail. Scott and Chloe spotted bird houses amongst the tree branches, whilst Bradley enjoyed listening to the sounds recorded on the soundposts and reaching up to play the wind chimes. Read more →
Students in Class 15 enjoyed a trip to Old MacDonald’s Farm this week. They have been learning about different industries in Work Related Learning lessons. Last half term the class were learning about working with animals and visited the Cat Sanctuary and Pets at Home. Read more →
In Science, we enjoyed learning about how caterpillars grow and change into butterflies and we observed them in our own butterfly garden before releasing eight butterflies.
